So much has happened this year…things that I never imagined in my wildest dreams would happen. There were amazing moments, difficult moments, tearful moments, joyous moments, painful moments, scary moments, loving, happy and peaceful moments, moments to learn from, moments to remember and cherish forever.
I am a HUGE reflective person. I believe I must look in the mirror and at myself and actions first before anything else. I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul! So with that said, I’m going to take the next 25 days, yep that’s all that’s left of 2013 and answer a question a day and share it. Why share it when self-reflection is so important to me? Because my question may help you reflect and my response may help you reflect. I believe that we’re all connected in this universe somehow and I know I read blogs, books, articles and have conversations with folks that have a significant impact on me and my thoughts. There is a double purpose for the next 25 days. One, is for my own reflection, evaluation and process. And the other is to hopefully encourage, inspire, motivate and help someONE else (even if just one person).
Day 1 ~ Question 1
WHAT AM I MOST PROUD OF THIS YEAR?
Not giving up! In spite of a grim prognosis, a whirlwind health battle, major challenges with communication between my family, doctors and even some friends, challenging treatments, loss of important relationships (to me at least), financial woes, more health setbacks and seriously the list could go on…I am still fighting! I am still here! I try and smile daily. I try and remember that these challenges are going to be an amazing testimony one day. And, that God has a plan and a purpose for my life. I haven’t given up and I fight daily for my life, for my health, for peace and wellness. This is what I’m most proud of in 2013!
